Minor provision on student loans is in the debt-limit bill

a small provision on student loans made it into the agreement to raise the federal debt limit.

President Biden rejected proposals to eliminate his plan to excuse up to $20,000 of the debt for many student loan borrowers, with income-eligibility requirements and a pending ruling from the Supreme Court.

But he agreed to an end in the pause on such repayments in the last week of August, just a few weeks or days before when he had already said the payments would restart.
