Hundreds of Pounds of Pasta

[ad_1]

Hundreds of pounds of pasta were recently found dumped in mounds along a creek in Old Bridge, N.J. The picture above shows some of the 25 feet of spaghetti, macaroni and alphabet shapes that were discovered. The Department of Public Works visited the site and found “what appeared to be 15 wheelbarrow loads of illegal dumped pasta” in a residential neighborhood.

Your mission: to write the beginning of a short story or news report that explains where the pasta came from, and why and how it ended up here.

You can read the related Times article to get more context for your story, but please don’t read this People Magazine piece that gives away the answer until you come up with your own.
